2008 Winter
2008 was a very successful winter, not only because of the amazing snow fall, but also the great results Dynafit athletes achieved on the snow. Here's some of the high lights-

Dynafit Porters Speed Up Race, 26th August. 16 racers turned up at Porters ski area for the 1st race in the 2008 SkiMoNZ series. It was a great day for racing with over 50cm of new snow. Dynafit NZ Race Team member Gena Sibave picked up were he left off last winter, winning the men's race, while Gillian Ensor won the woman's race.

Dynafit NZ Team Members and NZ reps Jane Harper and Grant Guise won both the Rainbow Rally and Ohau Backcountry Blast races, with Jane then going on to win a 3rd
successive CraigieBUNER title.

Out side of racing, Jane and Grant, along with Kath Conlan and '08 CraigieBURNER winner, Duncan Sherratt completed a Craigieburn Range travers from CVSC to Porters. The group ascended and descend over 2500 vertical meters and skied off 7 peaks, taking 7hrs to complete the traverse.

In October Grant teamed up with Swiss national ski mountaineering team member Lukas Huser for a speed climb of Mt Rollestons Low Peak, via the Otira Slide. Only 1hr40mins after the pair left the parking lot they had reached the summit of Low Peak. A quick transition seen them spend less than 1 min on the summit and they were skiing. They returned to the car only 2hrs and 17mins after leaving!
